Gay Weddings and Civil Marriages
Changes in the law are happening all the time, and as such, gay couples can now enjoy the right to have the same legal rights as married couples.
Naturally, you will want to make absolutely sure that everything runs as it should on the day!
As a Professional Toastmaster, I am completely impartial to the beliefs, cultures or orientations to the couples I serve. As such, I make no distinction between a wedding of male & female, two men or two women. As far as I am concerned, two people who love each other are keen to publically declare that love and to have a day with family and friends that runs smoothly and is totally stress free!
Just a few of the duties I perform on your big day are:
- If you wish, I will attend the Civil Wedding venue to help get everyone where they need to be.
- I will liaise with Registrars to ensure that everything runs smoothly for you
- I will make relevant announcements and offer direction to those who need it
- I will assist your photographer to ensure you get those perfect shots
- I proceed to the reception the venue well in advance of your grand arrival, checking everything is exactly as you planned it.
- Welcome you as you arrive in style
- Be on hand throughout the photographs and drinks reception to ensure everything is slick and smooth, running to time, also assisting the photographers to help keep things running as smoothly as possible.
- Unobstrusively ensure that all your guests are kept fully informed of what is happening now and next, maintaining a friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout.
- When the photographs are complete, arrange the receiving line for your official welcome of your guests, if you want to have one.
- When all guests are seated and happy, I will announce the top table guests into the room, followed by your magnificent grand entrance!
- If required, I am fully competent to say grace before meals.
- A wonderful touch from my homeland, if you wish, is the ceremony of the quaiche. A mini-ceremony that unites families before their guests.
- On hand throughout the wedding breakfast, I will liaise with caterers to ensure that all is running as you expect it to. Generally I will make sure all your guests take the opportunity to complete your guest book at this point.
- After the main course, I will ensure every camera in the room is flashing as you perform the ceremonial cutting of your wedding cake.
- When all is complete and you and your guests are ready, I will announce the speakers
- If you require, I will announce the first waltzes.
- Finally, I will say my farewells and wish you well as you start out together as a married couple.
These are just a very few of the duties that I perform to ensure your day is totally stress free. I will be constantly working to ensure everything is running just as you planned and that everyone is having a great time!
I offer a bespoke service to you that gives your day a beautiful sense of continuity. Rather than passing from one person to the next, you have a single professional at your side the whole day. The emphasis is on having fun and enjoying a stress free start to married life.
“Apart from your spouse and guests, nobody will spend as much time with you on the big day as me!”
