Family Unification's
Of course, these ceremonies are not just for babies. Perhaps you have adopted or fostered a child and want them to feel like part of the family unit. Perhaps you have re-married and want any children from yours or your new partner’s previous family to feel welcome and to help everyone gel together at a time when tensions can be high. A naming or family joining ceremony is a great way to do this, and why not combine it with a party!
This ceremony consists of the children making promises to their new family, and the adults making promises to the children to accept and care for them as they would any children of their own. They are a touching and public ceremonies that make an outward pledge that while your original family may be divided, your new family will only ever become stronger.
Sometimes it can be daunting for young children. I have great experience in working with children to get the best results for all concerned. I approach these ceremonies with patience, kindness and respect. After all, the end result is well worth the wait!
